mvc kvac headerThe Mountain Valley Conference and the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference will again be jointly hosting their Conference Skiing Championships at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford and Titcomb Mountain in Farmington. Because of the snowstorm on the scheduled first day of competition, the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Skiing Championships that were scheduled for Wednesday, February 7th have been postponed. The schedule has been reset as follows:

  1. Thursday. February 8 • Nordic Classical at Black Mountain
  2. Friday, February 9 • Nordic Freestyle Pursuit at Titcomb Mountain
  3. Saturday, February 10 • Alpine Slalom at Titcomb Mountain
  4. Tuesday, February 13 • Alpine Giant Slalom at Black Mountain

The Boothbay Boys Cross Country Team, led by Kyle Ames, Blake Erhard, and Will Perkins, captured the 2016 MVC Championship at the University of Maine Augusta on October 15th. Ames completed the course in 18:21 to take 2nd place for the Seahawks. Erhard and Perkins finished 3rd and 5th respectively. Boothbay's winning score of 28 topped the Carrabec Cobras, who finished second with a score of 61. Lisbon score 71 points to place 3rd.

The MVC Cross Country Championships will be held at the University of Maine Augusta on October 14th, starting at 11:00 am.

The 2018 MVC Track and Field Championships will be held at Lisbon High School on Thursday, May 24th . Jumping and throwing events will start at 1:15 with running events beginning at 2:00.

The Beat Goes on for Lisbon Boys and Girls
