OakHillBaseball 2021

The Oak Hill Raiders defeated the Mt. Abram Roadrunners 6-3 to win the 2021 Mountain Valley Conference baseball championship. The Roadrunners jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the Raiders responded with 3 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Mt. Abram chipped away with 1 run in the 4th and another in the 6th to tie the game at 3-3. Oak Hill responded with 3 runs in their half of the 6th to take a 6-3 lead and held Mt. Abram scoreless in the 7th to take home the crown.

 Mt. Abram's pitchers, Hunter Warren and Ben DeBiase had the only two hits for the Salem pastimers. Gavin Rawstron had two of Oak Hill's 7 hits. Kyle Delano started on the mound for the  Raiders and was relieved by sophomore Ethan Vattaso, who pitched the final 2 innings, walking 1 and striking out 3 to earn the victory. 

Congratulations to both teams on outstanding seasons.
