The 2019 Mountain Valley Cheering Championships will be held at Mountain Valley High School on January 12, beginning at 10:00 am. This year's schedule will be slightly different from past years, with an attempt to more closely resemble schedules that are used at Regional and State Competitions.

The Monmouth Mustangs avenged their only loss of the regular season by defeating the Boothbay Region Seahawks, 47-41, in the Mountain Valley Conference championship game held Saturday, February 10th at Boothbay Region High School.
The Mustangs had only a 2 point lead at the half but increased that lead to 8 points going into the 4th quarter. They used excellent ball control and terrific defense in the final stanza to hold off the Seahawks to earn the Championship. Boothbay struggled from the foul line, going 10-for-20, while Monmouth was 13-for-15 from the charity stripe.
Abbey Allen scored 16 points to lead the Mustangs, while teammate Hannah Anderson chipped in with 13. Tia Day scored 7 points.
Page Brown, Boothbay's 6' senior playing in her final game in the Boothbay gymnasium, led Boothbay with 15 points. while 6'1" Jr. Faith Blethen added 11. Glory Blethen and Kylie Brown had 5 and 4 points respectively.
In their only regular season loss during the regular season, Boothbay had defeated Monmouth 50-47 to hand them their only defeat. Boothbay finished the regular season at 18-0 and will go in as the top seed in the Class C South tournament. Monmouth had a 17-1 record, and is the second seed in the South.
The Hall-Dale boys overcame a 14 point second half deficit to defeat Winthrop 43-41 to capture the MVC Boys Basektball Championshiop at Hall-Dale High School.
The 2018 MVC Field Hockey Championship will be played at Lewiston High School on October 11th, beginning at 7:00 pm. Vying for this year's title are the defending champion Winthrop Ramblers and the Mountain Valley Falcons. Good luck to both teams.
Congratulations to the Winthrop Ramblers on winning the 2017 MVC Field Hockey Championship with their hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Spruce Mountain Phoenix.
The 2018 MVC Track and Field Championships will be held at Lisbon High School on Thursday, May 24th . Jumping and throwing events will start at 1:15 with running events beginning at 2:00.
The MVC Cross Country Championships will be held at the University of Maine Augusta on October 14th, starting at 11:00 am.
